WISP Ready produces a Written Information Security Plan document from the answers you give. The document is built on public guidance, mainly IRS Publication 5708 and the FTC Safeguards Rule (16 CFR Part 314). Your purchase includes the document, Word and PDF downloads, and free regeneration of the plan from updated answers for 12 months after purchase.
WISP Ready is not legal, tax, accounting or cybersecurity advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship with us. We are not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by the IRS, the FTC or any state agency. A plan document does not by itself make your practice secure or compliant with any law: compliance depends on putting the safeguards in place, keeping them up to date and meeting any state or professional rules that apply to you. The plan reflects only the answers you give; if they are incomplete or inaccurate, so is the plan. You are responsible for reviewing the plan, adapting it to your practice and implementing it. Consult a qualified lawyer or security professional about your specific obligations.
If your plan does not address an element listed in 16 CFR 314.4, tell us within 30 days of purchase. We will fix the plan or, if you prefer, refund the full price. You can also ask for a refund within 30 days for any reason if you have not downloaded the plan.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to WISP Ready is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including losses from a security incident, fines, penalties or lost business. The product is provided "as is" apart from the refund promise above. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case these apply only as far as the law allows.
We collect your name, practice name, email address, state and your answers about your systems and safeguards. We use them only to produce and update your plan, send you your receipt and plan link, and answer support requests. Please do not enter client information; the form does not ask for it. Payment is processed by Stripe, and we never see your card number. Your plan is available at a private link; anyone who has that link can view it, so keep it as you would any confidential document. We do not sell your information. We keep your answers for as long as your plan can be updated and for up to 7 years for tax records, and we delete them sooner on request to the address above.
These terms are governed by the laws of the province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
